Joelle Nelson earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern Maine and her Doctorate of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law.  While at South Texas, Joelle received numerous honors and awards, including the Dean’s Achievement Award in Advocacy and was elected Co-Chair of the Board of Advocates.  While in law school, Joelle interned for the Honorable Eric Andell at the First District Court of Appeals.

Upon graduating law school, Joelle served as a briefing attorney for the Honorable John S. Anderson at the Fourteenth District Court of Appeals.

Her experience as a briefing attorney at the Fourteenth Court of Appeals, combined with her time at the First Court of Appeals, have provided Joelle with rare and valuable insight into the inner workings of our state court system.  This experience has served Joelle both in the courtroom as well as in the civil appellate process.

After leaving the Fourteenth Court of Appeals, Joelle has successfully represented plaintiffs and defendants regarding catastrophic medical malpractice, seriously injured people, products liability, complex business litigation, high-stake business disputes, and numerous other companies and people with legal disputes.  Moreover, Joelle has been published numerous times on such topics as medical malpractice, the corporate practice of medicine, the use of experts, and tort reform.

It is with this experience that Joelle has achieved victories inside and outside the court room.
